We have been learning about nouns and adjectives. We will continue with that and start throwing a little verbs in there as well.

In math we will be making combinations of higher numbers to twenty and using number sentences and word problems to reflect that.

Welcome Back! 2016!

Christmas Party 2015I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas filled with love and happiness!  I am excited to be in the New Year with all of you and your kids! I hope you all rang it in with positive vibes!

We will be reminded of rules and procedures a lot this week to get  back into the swing of things.

Between now and May, the school year really starts to fly and your kids will keep improving day to day and, of course, with your help we can reach our goals!

Continue reading and working at home to improve spelling and writing. Make it fun!

Math: we will begin to learn measurement and how to measure things with different tools (paper clips, counters, pencils, etc).

Spelling: many, them, out, she, then (please study these at home).

We will be learning about what New Year’s Resolutions are and be making some of our own, along with writing Thank You letters to our loved ones for their generous gifts for Christmas!

The kids definitely had a great Christmas because I have heard A LOT of fun stories and excitement.

Please be sure your child wears a jacket to school because it is going to be cold in the Winter months and we need to be warm on the playground and throughout the day.

Thank you and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
